Miyu Ohnuma/stuff reporter

Miyu Ohnuma in grade 11, go to secondary school in Canada. She was born in Japan and she lived in Japan for 15 years with her family, she really loves her dog called Maro. She usually play with him at her house or park.

Ohnuma came to Canada to study English, make new friends from many different countries and learn culture of many different countries. It was the first time to meet people from other countries and talk with them. What she thought when she came to Canada are there is a lot of nature and scenery is really beautiful; The placed that she likes the best is Capilano Suspension Bridge Park.

Ohnuma is a member of intramural volleyball team and tennis club in semester 1 of grade 11. When she was in Japan, she was in the volleyball team for 3 years, the swimming team for 9 years, and the gymnastics team 3 years. She was selected as a member of the all-prefecture team of volleyball in Japan; it is the proudest moment for her because she practiced so hard to be a member of the team. She likes to play sports because it is fun, helps me reliving stress, and helps me making a lot of friends. She thinks it is the easiest way to make new friends because most of all sports can’t play along.

Ohnuma would like to go to College in Canada.  wants to study about childhood education or therapy assistant and to be them in the future because she likes to help people who need help. And then, she wants to get a permanent residency.

Ohnuma likes to listen to music when she has free time, even she is studying at home, taking a bus or train, also likes to sing songs because it can relive stress. She sometimes go to karaoke with her firends. She likes K-pop the most, especially, Seventeen and Stary kids because they are really handsome and very good at singing, dancing, and they are also funny. She has loved K-pop for 6 years ago. She hopes that she could go to their concert.

She also likes to talk on her phone with her family and friends in Japan because she has missed her family and friends who are in Japan. It is fun to talk about their memory when she was in Japan and share what is going on these days.
