On May 21st Kylian Mbappe has officially put bidding war between Real Madrid and PSG (Paris Saint Germain) to an end and has chosen to stay at PSG.
People are questioning Mbappes decision to stay at PSG as Real Madrid are arguably one of the greatest soccer clubs in the world. They have developed some of the best players in the world and have won an immense number of trophies. For example, they had just won the champions league title on May 29 for the 14th time. Although, PSG has some strengths of their own for example Mbappe is playing with some of the best players to play the game such as Sergio Ramos, Lionel Messi, and Neymar junior. These 3 are extremely dominant in their positions and in the sport. It is a great experience for mbappe to play with these 3 players as it gives him a great advantage over the other youngsters of the sport.
According to Cameron Smiths article “The report states that Mbappe will earn a net salary of €50 million per year, while he will also receive a signing-on bonus of €100m. While the deal is for an extra two year, there is reportedly an option for one further year that can be activated.
If Mbappe stays at PSG for the entire three years on offer he will earn a huge €250m over that period.”
It would have been better for Mbappes career to go to real Madrid because Madrid have had way more success in the sport than PSG. As said before PSG has some of the best players to ever play the sport and they have many players on the team that are used to being the best on their separate teams, which means they are going to have trouble with playing as a team. Mbappe has been at PSG for 5 years, meaning he had the chance to learn a lot from these players and could use that experience to excel at Madrid. At Madrid Mbappe could focus on himself and be able to improve his abilities as he won’t have to compete with anyone on his team. Also, he could potentially win many trophies at a very young age.
According to Cameron Smiths article How much is Mbappe’s new PSG contract worth? “The report states that Mbappe will earn a net salary of €50 million per year, while he will also receive a signing-on bonus of €100m. While the deal is for an extra two year, there is reportedly an option for one further year that can be activated.
