Sometimes, likely see plastic bottles wrongly placed in the organics bin and plastic bags thrown in the paper recycling. This wrong recycling method causes many environmental problems. As students who will pass on to the next generation, Gleneagle’s community should be more vigilant about Environmental Problems and put more effort into recycling.

May never have thought about how much an accidentally discarded plastic bottle can negatively affect human daily lives. If the plastic goes to a landfill, rain that falls on the landfill absorbs the plastic’s water-soluble substances. Among them, a harmful substance called ‘Leachate’ ruins our ecosystem and harms living things. If another plastic bottle is thrown into the sea, creatures that mistake it for food will eat it and die. Or it could be broken down into microplastics and float around forever in the ocean.
Logically, if living things and the environment are destroyed through a series of processes, it will have a lot of adverse effects on human daily life. Human food will become extinct, and plants will no longer provide raw materials for people. However, well-recycled items are decomposed and melted in a factory to become raw materials if they are used again. If we pay a little more attention to recycling and raise awareness, the environmental problem will surely be solved.
If we strive for a clean environment in the future, the small steps of Gleneagle’s community will gather and leave a huge footprint. We should regularly hold assemblies or classes in schools to raise awareness about recycling to inform and remind them about the importance of recycling. Alternatively, schools can prevent unnecessary waste by organizing an event to share used goods. In addition, recyclable items should be subdivided for efficient separation and collection. We need to create a recycling bin that throws away glass and plastic bags so that the separation at the plant can be effectively organized.
There is no doubt that if Gleneagles who will create a new society pay attention and put effort into recycling, influence will gather and make a great contribution to the environment. Recycling is one of the most significant parts of our daily life. You must consciously think about recycling and turn it into action and become a habit. Recycling can change the world.
