On August 12, 1999International Youth Day was created and every year on August 12 we celebrate International Youth Day. Many teens all around the world look forward for this day because it is a day that teens are seen as adults and taken seriously.

International Youth Day is celebrating because this day is dedicated to the role young women and men play in bringing change in tackling global issues and achieving sustainable development. It also serves as an opportunity to raise awareness of the challenges and problems facing the world’s youth.

Before this event was created older people didn’t know the struggles that their teens were going throw, after this event the parents and other elders got to know the struggle that their teens had to go throw.

International youth day was started by the Government of Portugal with United Nation. How to celebrate; various activities like concerts, workshops, cultural events, and meetings are organized by schools and other educational institutions to engage the youth and to bring their voices, actions, and initiatives to the mainstream.

We are still celebrating international youth day and the next one is on Friday, August 12, 2022. In 2020 we celebrated IYD 2020 – Youth Engagement for Global Action. Every year

there are different activities.  Moldova, Mongolia, Romania, and Uzbekistan are some of the countries that celebrate International Youth Day in South Africa. After all of this the next International Youth Day is on August 12 2021 do you will be able to come?
