Gleneagle’s Me to We club is a student-led organization dedicated to helping with local and world issues like poverty through school fundraisers and events.
Me to We has already hosted events like the coffee house, rafiki sale and the coffee sales in the foyer.
“This year, Me to We is fundraising to help build a primary school in Kenya. They will need to make $10,000 to meet this goal,” said Susan Priestly, Me to We staff sponsor.
Me to We activities are settling down as they prepare for the new-year. They will be continuing the fair-trade coffee sales that are currently happening at lunch in the foyer, “[and] there might be plans to expand into other types of coffee and drinks in the new year,” said Lucas Hung, grade 12, Me to We student leader.
There are currently plans being devised for the new year during the clubs Thursday meetings.
The Me to We club already has events planned for the future like the dance off on May 27 and their water walk in May with the Me to We clubs from other schools in SD43.
You can find information about future events, club notifications or as a way to message the club through their Instagram, @gleneaglemetowe.
