Join Princess Tiana and her pals on an immersive adventure through the Louisiana bayou at this attraction. The ride is set around Mardi Gras and is inspired by the 2009 animated feature “The Princess and the Frog,” according to The Walt Disney Company. It promises to be a colorful and joyous experience. An amazing journey featuring cutting-edge Audio-Animatronics, real New Orleans music, and breathtaking graphics awaits visitors on this thrilling new attraction to Disney.
The storyline of the ride centers on Tiana, who is getting ready for a lavish Mardi Gras feast but needs assistance locating a missing ingredient. Along with making new acquaintances, guests will encounter locals like Mama Odie and Louis the alligator as they go through the bayou. All those who participate in the ride will have an unforgettable experience as it culminates in a spectacular 50-foot plunge. The attraction’s realism is enhanced by the use of music by well known performers, such as Terence Blanchard and PJ Morton, which captures the essence of New Orleans(Mickey Visit).

‘It’s finally happened’
Victoria Wade, a theme park content creator, got to try Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in early June as a guest of an employee.
Wade, who is Black, told CNN it was powerful to finally experience a Disney attraction where the characters look like her.
“I got very emotional immediately towards the finale scene of the ride in particular… it was just nice to be seen,” she said.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is a celebration of community spirit and New Orleans culture, not just a ride. Following the events of “The Princess and the Frog,” Tiana is now in charge of Tiana’s Foods, a business that blends a teaching kitchen with a boutique farm. This scene sets the tone for the ride, in which visitors are asked to assist Tiana in getting ready for a unique Mardi Gras celebration as a way of saying “thank you” to her loved ones. The aroma of freshly made beignets fills the air as tourists navigate the trip, immersing them in the sights, sounds, and even scents of New Orleans (Mickey Visit).
With dozens of new Audio-Animatronics characters, including well-known figures like Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen as well as brand-new companions made especially for the ride, the attraction is intended to be a multisensory experience. A distinctive touch to the entire experience will be added by these characters’ energetic musical performances, which will feature animals playing instruments made of natural bayou materials (The Walt Disney Company). Original songs from the movie will be mixed with brand new songs to create aural magic that will satisfy both die hard fans and casual viewers.

Disney stated on a blog post, “Soldiers from the 369th Regiment, one of the first African American regiments to serve with the American Expeditionary Forces during World War I, appeared in the images that served as inspiration for expanding James’s past. This unit was well known for its bravery, and the French government honored several of its members with the coveted Croix de Guerre for their valiant combat service.
Disney’s dedication to promoting cultural representation is demonstrated by the inclusion of regional artists and real New Orleans musicians in the development of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Grammy Award winning musicians PJ Morton and Terence Blanchard have curated a blend of Zydeco, Rara, and Afro Cuban music for the soundtrack, which will be adorned with artwork from Louisiana artisans. The goal of this partnership is to create an authentically immersive environment that takes visitors to the heart of New Orleans (Mickey Visit).
