A long time ago, in a town with gardens which is full of colourful flowers, lived my Grandpa- Xizheng Song. A familiar scent can transport people back, allowing them to relive moments from their past. In Xiying’s memories, the air was filled with the sweet smell of blossoming flowers.
His childhood was full of fun, such as climbing trees and chasing and playing with his friends. All these precious memories make into a puzzle called carefree of his youth.
Grandpa told me that when he was a child, he always observed everything on the street with a curious heart, which led he realized that he was very interested in machinery. As a result, he often went home to observe how various machines worked. It was the beginning of a lifelong journey with machine.
Interests usually influences the career that people pursued. After graduating from high school, Grandpa began a new life experience. He found a job as a machinist in a local factory. His hands demonstrated how a man could work hard to provide for his family.
In life, his warm heart extended to the neighborhood. After work, he always lending a hand to help other families repair their broken machines. His generosity made he became an important part of the town.
As Grandpa Song shared his experiences with me, it’s not only stories of the past, but also lessons of the importance of hard work and kindness. What he told was not just stories from past, but also a priceless gift for me.
Grandpa’s story continues, with each stage making up his unique life. Though these were ordinary moments, he reminds us that no matter how simple their lives may seem, they still have a story inside them that is worth telling. Grandpa’s past life experience, just like the colorful flowers of the town, proved that there is beauty in ordinary life, and his experiences turns an inspiration for me and my family.
