First of many fun activities is to hike on Grouse Mountain! The city is surrounded by a number of mountains, it is well known for having an arts and culture scene and amazing wilderness. Vancouver is the most ethnically diverse city in Canada, and it is a mix of diversity! It is a popular destination for both short trips and people moving here for a lifestyle because it offers the perfect blend of an exciting urban city and nature. Vancouver is consistently rated as one of the most livable cities in the world, regardless of whether you enjoy travelling for the arts, culture, food, nature, or sport, Vancouver is the spot for you.
Watch the sunset at English Bay beach, this is a great activity to do with friends or family. English Bay is located in the West End of Vancouver’s south. The best thing to do in Vancouver is to watch the sunset from here, If you want to swim, soak in the sun, or even play beach volleyball in the summer, here is the place to be. Even kayaks and paddleboards can be rented!
Take a walk on the Capilano Suspension Bridge. If you are scared of heights this might not be the best idea for you! Views of the forest and canyons below may be seen from a walk around the suspension bridge, which is over the Capilano River. One of the most liked activities in Vancouver is visiting the Capilano Suspension Bridge. When you cross the bridge, which is only 15 minutes from downtown Vancouver, you’ll be surrounded by trees and the breathtaking views of British Columbia.
Go skiing at cypress mountain! The most liked location in Canada for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing is Cypress Mountain. It’s only a 30-minute drive from downtown, right outside the city. The tracks are lit up for night skiing. An amazing perk if you specifically love skiing during night time! In addition, tobogganing is available here and is always popular.
Lastly you can ride your bike around Stanley Park Seawall. Stanley Park offers beaches, forest trails, Indigenous town sites, rose gardens, and nice cycling paths. It makes sense why both locals and tourists enjoy it so much!
There is many more fun activities to do in Vancouver such as the PNE, skate parks, and water parks but these are just some of many things you can do with your friends or family. Regardless the weather or season, there is always something to do in Vancouver, BC!
