Taking care of kids is easy? Not when they throw tantrums and have meltdowns, right? Right. But it could be worse. When they are hungry? Tired? Could be. Ever thought about what it would be like if they caught on fire whenever they are upset? I guess not.
Nothing to see here is a book published by Kevin Wilson in 2019.
The story starts with 28-year-old Lillian Breaker talking about her life in a school with her friend Madison, young and beautiful. Lillian was a Straight-A student, who lived with a single mom who did not care about her. Madison on the other hand was spoiled and rich, she was married to an extremely wealthy older man, a Senator. They live with their baby boy in a mansion in Tennessee.
The senator has previously had two 10-year-old twins, Bessie, and Roland. The twins were strange. When they were angered or upset, which happens a lot, they would catch on fire [literally], though they themselves will be unharmed, and the surroundings would be ruined. The kids had their own reason to be angry, they were pushed away with their mother from the mansion when the senator found a new wife, Madison.
Madison had called Lillian to her estate and requested Lillian to look after her step-kids. But Lillian was confused, why was she given this job? What about the kids? She was just about to know that. Lillian who had no idea how to take care of children was now supposed to take care of some weird fire kids.
She was to keep the kids away from the attention of the public so that the senator can go ahead with his political aspirations.
The story is short but funny in a way, and it can make you feel interested to know what is next but of course, there is some emotional stuff!
