The business club has plans to bring the students of Gleneagle a bubble tea sale! starting on November 14 students will have the opportunity to place their bubble tea orders. The orders will be delivered to your block 3 class on November 21st. The price of the order is still being formulated but is estimated to be around 5 dollars, According to Grace Lee, grade 12, a leader of the business club. Students can place their orders by prepaying and filling out a form stating what flavor they would like and information such as their block 3 class and their name. The flavors available are still undecided, however according to Lee “[the business club] plans to keep it to the most popular bubble tea flavors to fill the needs of our school.”
The business club had their first meeting on October 17 and meets every Monday at lunch. 30 students and Maria Grega have been meeting to learn, plan, and practice their business skills. Learning about economic and financial theory as well as practicing business skills like public speaking and marketing design are just some of the things this club does according to Vincent Chung. Students are also using their skills of marketing and entrepreneurship for fundraisers and planning events. Members are hoping to improve on business skills and learn new things, according to Chung.
The members of the club will use what they have learned in this club and use their business skills to organize the upcoming bubble tea sale. Gleneagle students are looking forward to the bubble tea sale. “I’m excited, I love bubble tea, I think we should do it more often,” said Ashley Danielson, grade 10. Many students also believe that events like the upcoming bubble tea sale will draw more attention to the business club. “Personally, I don’t [think I’d join] that club, but if they keep doing fun stuff like this, I think they’ll have more students interested” said Danielson, “I’m planning to order a bubble tea”.
Activities such as the bubble tea stand generate a lot of interest in clubs such as the business club and are a great way for clubs to make connections with the Gleneagle student body at large; as well as a terrific way for many clubs to show off their efforts and put what they have learned to work. Students are excited for the bubble tea stand and to see what the business club has in store for Gleneagle next.
