Gleneagle’s junior boys volleyball team continues their season with their most recent game on October 24 at Port Moody Secondary School.
There are eleven athletes on the team, and they are coached by Tine Paterson.
So far, they have struggled to win any of their games.
When asked what he thinks about the games he has played so far, Mahtab Khangura, grade 10, who has been playing volleyball since middle school and also a player on the junior boys volleyball team, says the games he has played so far were “played with motivation, and our hard work was evident,”. He adds that their team has struggled due to “lack of communication and consistency”. However, he says that they have “significantly improved, with each game becoming closer due to our practice,”.
Community coach has not yet replied to interview questions. She will likely not reply in time for the newspaper. If we hear back from her, we will follow up.
