The video game Elden Ring has been out since February 25th and has already become one of the most bought games of all time. This game has been highly anticipated since its announcement in 2019 and now since its release it has had nothing but good reviews from critics like IGN, Game Spot, and Game Informer who all gave it a 10/10. People who didn’t do any research on the game before buying might have thought that the game would be a fun open-world multiplayer game, however, the makers of the game at FromSoftware are notoriously known for making their games very complex and difficult. But if you’re up for the challenge here are some of the many reasons why you’ll fall in love with this game.

Although Elden Ring is known for its incredibly hard bosses and game play, it’s also known for having massive, beautiful, and detailed worlds from the great towers and castles all the way down to your characters hair. There is also no strict story line that needs to be followed. From the second you get into the open world there is a story option, but you can just as easily wander into the world, gather loot, and never get bored. The game is full of an endless amount of NPC’s (non-player characters) and side quests to keep you entertained.

The game also takes huge inspiration from Lord of the Rings and the manga Berserk They even got George R.R Martin himself to give some of his own thoughts and ideas on the game.

One great feature of the game is its armour because there is no one armour set that is better than another, it all comes down to what your characters strengths are and what fits your fighting style best. If you like more bludgeoning type weapons instead of swords or long ranged weapons use whatever works best.

Most enemies in Elden Ring can kill you with one or two hits, so it’s important to keep in mind that the game is about coordination and timing. It’s not a simple button masher like most other games so no matter how aggravated this game makes you it’s never a good idea going into the game thinking you can just keep on hitting threw the story. Even though this game isn’t the best for multiplayer it doesn’t mean you have to go through this game alone, websites like reddit or even discord are a great place for tips on defeating bosses because if you’re having trouble with a boss, it’s a guarantee that many others are having the same trouble.
