There are over 5000 shows and movies on Netflix. To choose a genre and choose a perfect show to watch for you, it so time-consuming. However, if you are looking to watch a new show on Netflix, and you are not able to decide what to watch, here is the perfect action show.
Even though the show doesn’t have any guns involved in it, which you for an action genre show. This show is based on karate. The show is called “Cobra Kai”. It is based on the movies that were a hit in the 80s. The 3 movies that the show is based on are The Karate kid (1984), The Karate Kid 2 (1986), and The Karate kid 3 (1989). In order to watch the show, you need to first watch these movies to understand the show, as it is the sequel to this movies.
The story begins with the kid named Daniel LaRusso, moving to a new town where he got bullied mentally and even physically. He went to a school where his bullies would hurt him and show no mercy whatsoever. LaRusso was never able to defend himself as the bullies knew karate. Hence, LaRusso yearned for help and was able to receive it from a person named Mr. Miyagi, who taught him self-defense. The bullies were from a dojo called Cobra Kai who had sensi name, John Kresse. He taught his students misleading karate education, which leads to destruction rather than peace.
The three movies are about the rivalry between Miyagi-do and Cobra kai karate. These movies were based in the life of the 80s, as it was back then. Furthermore, the Karate kid movie series was one of the best action movies that come out of the 80s.
After more than 34 years since the first Karate Kid movie was made, the show “Cobra Kai” come out on Netflix in 2018. The rivalry of Miyagi-do karate and Cobra-Kai karate was replenished to modern-day society. The show shows how characters have come out from when the Karate kid was made.
It’s truly an amazing show that shows time in adversity, high and lows, plot twists, happiness, sadness, and unexpected moments. The genre of this show is martial arts, comedy-drama, and action fiction. I loved this show as after every episode, it got more interesting. Once you are hooked to this show, it doesn’t let you go.
The Cobra Kai series has all four seasons on Netflix. Season 4 of Cobra kai just come out on December 31, 2021, and it doesn’t finish there. Even though Cobra Kai season 5 filming was done in December 2021, the earliest predicted release date is in the summer or December of 2022.
This would be a perfect show for anyone 10 and above. As this show is a sequel to the Karate kid movie series (1980s), this show is also perfect for adults. I would give this show a rating of 10 out of 10.
There are expected to have more seasons of Cobra Kai other than then-upcoming season 5 and, I cannot wait to watch all of them in the future.
