Everyone needs to realize the severity of climate change, and to fix it, we must work hard together. Humans must repair, what humans have ruined. Without our knowledge, the Earth is becoming more dangerous, day after day.

Climate change refers to a phenomenon in which the global climate is changing. Since climate change is a phenomenon that has occurred repeatedly throughout the history of Earth, it can be misunderstood that climate change is natural. However, the trend of global climate change, especially global warming, within the last 100 years is definitely not caused by natural factors.

Due to the recent development of various industries all over the world, carbon dioxide emissions have increased. As a result, the warmer climate has caused icebergs and glaciers to melt, which significantly reduced the sea ice. Due to the reduction of sea ice, sea level has risen by 2.7 m since 1961, slowing down the ocean currents. Glaciers are highly reflective and acts as a shield, preventing the Earth from getting too hot. However, if glaciers continue to melt, the Earth will become hotter and hotter.

Furthermore, climate change stimulates serious problems to food security. Warm temperatures evaporate water from the ground and plants, developing droughts and disrupting the water supply. Droughts limit water use for transportation, power generation, as well as clean drinking water for human consumption. It also creates serious problems in supplying the food we need to survive, such as agriculture, livestock farming, and fishing. Climate change reduces the productivity of food resources, and it skyrockets the price of food. In fact, in 2012, drought struck several major regions around the world, resulting in food price instability. If we do not change this state, its serious problems will impact us more in the near future.

We must all work together to overcome this problem of climate change. The recognition that we need to act right now is important. Starting from practicing small changes in our daily lives, to protect our Earth is essential. Recycling waste is well known to many people as a must-do for the environment. When the amount of recycled waste increases, the amount of waste brought into the landfill decreases, and thus the amount of methane generation decreases accordingly. Not only that, it also reduces the amount of carbon dioxide emitted by incineration. It is necessary to conserve electricity, and to reduce the unnecessary use of tap water. In addition, consumption patterns should be converted to eco-friendly products. To choose products that are more energy efficient or produces less waste.

From natural disasters, food security emergencies, and many other problems caused by climate change are increasing day by day. Clearly, the reality of the severity of climate change is dominating all over the world. The awareness of climate change has been ignored for too long, despite the numerous warnings from scientists and environmentalists. Starting with small changes, we must start with what we can put into practice right now in our daily lives. Climate change is clearly our responsibilities as humans living on planet Earth, and the biggest threat facing humanity. We must act now.
