The spread of the COVID-19 has lasted for two years. Many students had to be educated in school through the Internet. The long periods of isolation from the community and this unnatural way of learning have caused physical and mental stress to many students.

A global incidence of mental disorders in children and adolescents is at 12%-28% according to the World Health Organization research, and the trend is increasing. In recent years, Chinese researchers also found that children and adolescents with different degrees of mental health problems are about 5%-30%. About 1 in 5 children have depressive tendencies. This data and this percentage are something are surprising.
One of the multiple reasons is Internet addiction. Nowadays, many young people are highly addicted to online games and the online world. Teenagers addicting to games, excessive use of the Internet will result in excessive time spent near the eyes, while encroaching on outdoor activities, which in turn seriously affects vision, consumes energy, delays school, leading to mental decadence and physical weakness.
Under the two pressures of studying and Covid-19, many authorities have pointed that Sport is a powerful tool, which can effectively relieve the negative influence by internet.
Research have proven that exercise training can effectively improves neurocognitive function in patients with schizophrenia and depression. Some studies have found that exercise reduces the risk of developing anxiety disorders in the general population and reduces the frequency of severe anxiety episodes. Conversely, lack of exercise is a definite risk factor for the development of anxiety and other psychiatric disorders. This evidence suggests that exercise appears to have a protective effect on anxiety symptoms and anxiety disorder episodes in the general population.
Now, many schools and parents are keening on encourage students to join variable club activities, like basketball club, football club, tennis club and running club. In China, government also rises up the occupation of sport in graduation examination for junior middle school student, hoping to driving more focus on sports from other academic subjects.
Another stimulation is that sports training can be good way to improve immune system of human being, which is very significant in facing the threatening and spreading of Covid-10.
