A 42-year-old Cemetery worker by the name of Rodwin Allicock was leveling out the bottom of a 7-foot grave.
When it collapsed killing him early Thursday morning at Washington Memorial Park in Mount Sinai NY.
His coworkers rushed out to help as well as paramedics and first responders however they could not get to him in time.
A physician assistant pronounced him dead at the scene.
The occupational health and safety administration are investigating the incident, the homicide squad in the Suffolk County is also looking into the case.
Allicock’s colleagues shared a tribute to him on Facebook “sleep in peace Rodwin Allicock” the coworker wrote “you was a great coworker and a great guy”
